Cemetary Of Scream/Deeppression/Senerades Records/1998 CD Review

Cemetary Of Scream are an atmospheric gothc/doom/death metal band from Germany and this is a review of their 1998 album "Deeppression" which was released by Serenades Records.

Drums are mostly slow to midpaced beats with some fast playing and no blast beats, while the keyboards are very gothic sounding with an ocassional industrial edge with some violins being used on ocassion, as for the bass playing it has a very powerful sound that is easyt to hear on this album with it;s slow riffing.

Rhythm guitars are mostly slow to midpaced riffs that are very melodic, with little or no guitar leads present on this album, as for the classical guitar when it is utilized i brings a very exotic edge to the music.

Vocals are a mixture of deep growls mixed in with some cleaning male and female vocals that are very gothic sounding, while the lyrics touch on depressing themes and some medievel witchburning trials, as for the production on this recording it sounds very professional and you can hear all of the instruments.

In my personal opinion Cemetary Of Scream are a very talented gothic metal band and if you are a fan of this genre you should check this band out. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Breeze" "Episode Man" and "Cruel". RECOMMENDED BUY.
